Out of the duplicate pics I think I like the 2nd one best. It's a shot of some things behind Ms. Pauline's garage. These "things" have been there since Mr. Junior was still working in his yard! I don't even know if Ms. Pauline realizes its out there. LOL I don't know what this round thing is, reminds me of huuuge old tractor wheel. This too is at Ms. Pauline's. If the object were closer and in b/w I think the pic would be much better. One of ya'll with the b/w capability needs to come take a picture of it!

Shelia I can still see Mr. Junior out there plowing up the ground with that plow. He was "old school" so it took forever. Bet you do not know why they saved the old Lic Plate and used it for...ah, is this our new riddle?
I'm not really sure but the metal ring is either a wheel with on spokes or it could be a band off of a wooden barrel (I would say old wine barrel but....)
oh Lord...another riddle. I have NO idea what it could have possibly been used for.
Cool pics though, Shelia.
I like the second one- very rustic and country! There is nothing old here- I'd have to trespass on someone's yard in Conway or Aynor.
What's the riddle?
OK, I have no idea what they used the license plate for. LOL The metal ring is really quite big. Bubba can stand inside of it and still has room.
Maybe the lic plate flew off of a car that was flying around that curve and Mr. Junior picked it up?? And no, it wasn't me flying around the curve. It seems to be not from SC, so it is a possibility that some out o towner flew past!!!!
As for the ring, my first thought was that it came from an old barrell. Now, you are going to have to ask Mrs. Pauline what it is and get some of those chewy blonde brownies for me, would ya??? Maybe a chocolate milkshake too.
I love the second pic too!!!
Jamie if thats the sacrifice it takes, so be it. I've got your back girl! ~grins~
They used the license plates, any state would do, when they were cleaning the yard as sort of a dust pan. After raking the yard, when the pile got small, they would scrape the small yard trash up on the plate to up it the wheelbarrow (or whatever). Most of the time they used two plates. It used to be that each year you got new license plates and there was an abundance of them. Had to use them for something...Lord I'm old..
Looks like Mr. Jr. had just gotten this one...I miss him!
